This page is intended to provide you with helpful information as you plan for your away meet hosted by the Bridgeland Barracudas Swim Team!
Visiting team volunteer requirements:
Meet split into 2 shifts...1-40 and 41-80
Lane Runner - 1 per shift
Ready Bench - 3 per shift
Ribbon Writers - 1 for 2nd shift only
Scribe - 3 per shift
Timer - 9 per shift
Time Verifier - 1 per shift
Lane assignments - We ask that you provide scribes on lanes 2, 4 & 6; (1) timer on lanes 2, 4 & 6; (2) timers on lanes 1, 3 & 5
Pool and Activity Center Address: 16919 N. Bridgeland Lake Parkway, Cypress, TX 77433. We ask for the safety of both residents and swimmers that you park in designated areas only. Please refer to the aerial map that can be downloaded below. Do not park in any areas marked in red, as your behicle may be towed if it is parked there. During swim meets, the activity center parking lot (next to the tennis courts) is limited to parking pass holders and officials only. Please only park on one side of the street, as Bridgeland roads are narrow and often there is not enough space for cars to drive through when vehicles are parked on both sides of the street. Do not park within 15 feet of fire hydrants, 20 feet or a crosswalk or intersection, in the roundabouts, or within 30 feet of a stop sign - these are all standard Texas laws and subdivision requirements, and please observe speed limits. Cars may be towed if parked in the areas marked as "No Parking".
Visiting Team Set Up:
The visiting team area is located on the right side of the pool/activity center near the playground. Visiting teams can set up beginning at the playground and extending to the sidewalk around the lake. Tents may be set up in the area between the lake and the rear pool, BUT THE LAKE AND DOCK ARE PROHIBITED. During the swim meet the fence will be open to allow for easy access from the tent set up area to the ready bench/pool area. There are two gates providing this access to the pool; one is at the rear of the pool and the other is between the buildings. Children playing in the playground area must be supervised by an adult. The Dock area, Back Swimming Pool Area, and Splash Pad are Off limits, and we ask that you remind parents to keep a careful eye on all swimmers to keep them away from these areas. Restrooms are located just inside the pool, near the west entrance. The restrooms inside the Activity Center are not to be used during the meet per HOA rules.
Parking lot setup 6/4/2016
The activity center interior will be restricted to officials, team reps, computers, results runners and ribbon writers. Swimmers should refrain from entering the activity center.
Home warm-ups start at 7:15 am. Visiting team warm-ups start at 7:45 am. Morning relay changes need to be presented by your Clerk of Course to Computers by 7:30 am. Please come with your changes ready, as each team will be given 15 minutes for their changes. The officials meeting will begin at 7:45 am and the Timers meeting will begin at 8:00 am. The meet is scheduled to start at 8:30 am with swimmers in the water.

We will have a concession area open for breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the meet. For ease of purchase, please bring cash, as we cannot accept checks or credit cards for items other than Chick-Fil-A.
